Progress Update

Greetings, Dungeoneers!

Just reaching out this evening to give you a quick update on our progress and plans.

  • The core rulebook for The Dungeoneer's Guide is being formatted (again) by Fat Goblin Games and should be back in our hands within the week. It has grown in pages and looks way, way better.
  • We will be adding a more comprehensive guide on how to fill out the character sheet, per the recommendation of a co-writer.
  • The Guided Adventure, The Skinner's Sanctum, has ballooned substantially and now includes four maps, and over 60-pages of narrative, instructions, and roll tables, our original plan of nine different enemies has grown to nineteen, and now we have miniatures and tokens as free Print & Play or purchased as laser-engraved elements. See below for the maps.
  • Finally, we have added a page for The Dungeoneer's Guide on our website that includes the free downloads of the final character sheets and the first episode of The Smuggler's Life, along with the free beta rules again (https://www.geekscollab.com/the-dungeoneers-guide.html). While you're there, we've added some fun new merch as well as our other games (some free) in our store.
You have already seen this map, but we have added names for the different areas.
Here, we have the crypt where it all ends and two possible maps during travel. If you're a member of the Adventure Post Patreon, at least one of those looks familiar; the other two will be soon as these two stories are tied together.
And, we have a new cover for the core rulebook!

The Skinner's Sanctum

Below, you will find four images. The first image is the "guided" portion of The Dungeoneer's Guide. It will set the scene and explain the options or instruct you on the rolls required to determine your fate. The following three images are the Monster Encounter sheets for the EncounterVents (from the first image). These are intended to keep the game random and replayable.

Notice the added bit of text for when you are playing a multi-player game. While The Dungeoneer's Guide was designed for a solitary Dungeoneer, we do not want to limit it as such. Therefore, every Monster Encounter will include additional enemies based on the number of Dungeoneers in the group as well as any specific multi-player requirements. These are un-edited and un-formatted so the final product will look much better, similar to our Core Rulebook pages from the last update.

The Smuggler's Life: Episode 1 - Ordintown Inn

We have updated the improved and edited version of Ordintown Inn and will continue to work on the story. Click on the image below to get access to the file on Google Drive.

And More...

We are currently proofing the layout of The Dungeoneer's Guide Core Rulebook, it looks so good! Here are a few samples:

The writing of the updated adventure is taking longer than expected, there's a lot to cover and we're making double-sure that all aspects of the games are captured and used wherever it fits. We want to immerse you into the game as much as we can. We'll share more updates on that later.

Another Progress Update

General Progress

We have identified over 80 creatures to be part of the monster manual in the core rulebook. That is far more than we had anticipated, and many of them will not be getting artwork, but Rick has graciously agreed to allow us to dig through his stock art and use what we can. What a great artist to work with, he comes highly recommended.

We are working on fleshing out the longer, darker story of Viktor and Lorace, adding a small crypt map and some additional travel options.

The character sheets and several of the pre-generated character images are done. We will make character stats and backstories for each one soon. You'll be able to make your own character or pick one of the pre-generated ones to play through The Skinner's Sanctum.

Artwork

Sorry, the uploads are taking a really long time and I really need to get to sleep... but I've been posting some of the artwork here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thedungeoneersguide

You'll also find some stats and a new magical item with artwork from a different artist, Marina Sparrow.

The Smuggler's Life

We have decided to move forward with another solo adventure while we wait for things to be completed. This one is being released for free on our Facebook group but I've also included a link to the first episode here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KnhcR5WCkXgkwhDpV5HJhALLzai7nViC/view?usp=sharing

This is the first draft and is in desperate need of an editor (which we have hired), so expect to have some flaws in the writing. :) It looks like it'll be about 10 episodes long, so it should be pretty fun.
