Thank you
Day three has just closed, meaning we have 9-days left in our 12-day campaign. We are currently 57% funded with almost 300 project followers which is quite promising. We may not hit any of the stretch goals, but we'll likely fund, so thank you, all, for the support. It means a lot to us that we can make this happen for the Hershey family.
The Dungeoneer's Guide
The Dungeoneer's Guide has gone through several iterations over the last four years. It started as something we were calling "Ultima Tabletop," which was a tabletop adaptation of Ultima Online. We converted many of the original calculations and it actually required an electronic aid to play. At one point, we were using a highly customized magic system that used the mechanics from The Language of Magic to build your own spells and effects (we may come back to that someday because we love the idea, it is just very complicated) After a few other changes, making it closer to what it is today, we adapted the name The Dungeoneer's Journal. The journal was supposed to be a specialized game where you play through an adventure that is highly randomized, and actually write-in the narrative and what happens yourself. So the player was keeping a "journal" of their adventure or scenario. I still want to finish the teaser one of these days and see what people think of it.
Free Print & Play Game
We have designed a print & play game where 2-players compete in a jousting tournament. The system was actually adapted from D&D so it is easily incorporated into you running campaign, if you wish. Here is an image of the new artwork for the game, and a link for the very rough beta files below. We can easily adapt this to fit inside of The Dungeoneer's Guide as well.
